Kick-off of the BI4E project in Rouen: New impulses for the INGENIUM alliance

On October 7, 2022, the kick-off meeting for the project "Boosting INGENIUM for Excellence" (BI4E) took place at the University of Rouen in France.

During this first meeting, the BI4E project team, consisting of representatives of the eight university partners of the INGENIUM alliance, had the opportunity to become better acquainted, to review the different work packages and to discuss organizational aspects of the project implementation.

The BI4E project is an initiative of the European university alliance INGENIUM. The aim is to intensify existing cooperation and strengthen the partners' capacity to address economic, environmental and societal challenges. The project aims to give new impetus to the alliance and make it an effective tool for promoting excellence in the partner institutions, with a special focus on the members in the so-called widening countries Romania and Bulgaria.

The EU will fund BI4E with 2 million euros over the next three years. The project coordinator is the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iaşi (Romania).

Within the framework of BI4E, the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences will coordinate a work package on the topic of attracting, retaining and training academic talent. Other focal points of the project include strategic planning, institutional transformation, research collaboration and strengthening entrepreneurship.
